Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants

Southport Branch Autumn Season

By Chartered One

Celine Wood of West Lancs Chartered Accountants was appointed Chair of the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants Southport Branch earlier in the year.

Celine will Chair the Society for the 2015/2016 season. She takes the reins from Past Chairman, Katharine Thompson who led the society during 2014/2015.

Celine will support the Society’s members in the Southport Branch area. Her primary role will be to oversee the delivery of a range of services for members including a series of CPD courses and annual dinner as well as representing the interests of Chartered Accountants in the wider business community. She will be supported in this role by Hon. Treasurer Neil Latham or Harrison Latham and the committee of the Society.

The Southport Branch meets regularly at the Masonic Hall, Duke Street in Southport on the last Wednesday in every month. Each meeting commences with light refreshments from 5.15pm and is followed by a topical CPD presentation, all are welcome to attend.

Celine said “we started off the season with a great talk from Shauna Jhappan, St James’s Place Wealth Management, looking at pensions and the auto-enrolment process. The meetings are a great way to connect with other local Chartered Accountants, as well as gaining some useful CPD in a relaxed setting.”

The CPD lectures for the 2015/2016 season are:

21st October:
Risk management and PI claims
25th November:
How should a private company be structured
24th February:
