To acknowledge successful students in ICAEW examinations the Liverpool Society of Chartered Accountants held a special event to recognise the achievement of students completing their Advanced Stage examinations and to welcome them into the profession. The event was held in the Victoria Gallery & Museum, which is part of Liverpool University on Saturday 3 October 2015.
Liverpool Society President Philip Silver welcomed over 100 members and their guests to the inaugural new members’ ceremony. In his speech Philip highlighted the immense opportunities open to the newly qualified members and thanked CABA (Chartered Accountants Benevolent Association) for their support in making the day happen.
Chartered Accountants’ Benevolent Association (CABA) provides advice financial and practical support to current and former ICAEW chartered accountants and their families: including ICAEW chartered accountants, Retired ICAEW chartered accountants, Spouses & life partners, Active ACA students including those living overseas.
Andrew Ratcliffe, President of ICAEW also gave a speech of welcome and congratulations and encouraged the new members to become involved with the work of the local society.
The Liverpool Society has been assisting businesses and supporting Chartered Accountants in our region for over 140 years. We have an active local society in the area and very much welcome new members and those who would like to be involved with the work of the society.
The newly qualified member’s ceremony was truly one of the most special events for us and our students and we hope that those attending enjoyed the day celebrating success with friends and family.The following members were presented with their certificates by Andrew Ratcliffe, President ICAEW.
